About: Mrs. Dabson
Welcome to Kindergarten!
I am excited to see and meet all of you at the upcoming Orientation Day on Thursday, September 1, 2016. My name is Lori Dabson and I have been teaching for 30 years with 24 of those years being a Kindergarten teacher at Powers Elementary School. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Professional Development with both of those degrees being from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. My true passion is teaching Kindergarten and working with young children. It is a pleasure to develop their young minds and to help build a foundation for furthering their education.
Orientation Day-September 1, 2016-Please attend Orientation Day Thursday, September 1, 2016. This is the official first day of school and attendance will be taken. Families will attend school together for about 1 hour. Orientation Day gives Kindergarten families an opportunity to meet their child's teacher, visit their child's classroom, drop off school supplies, and to touch base about many details for the upcoming school year. This day is a valuable experience helping to relieve the first day jitters for children and parents.
